Oracle Romania: We focus on applications for customer relations
 
Local subsidiary of Oracle, one of the largest producers of business software in the world, will focus this year on selling on the domestic market, applications for customer relationship management (CRM), starting in this respect, and the certification procedures of some local partners in delivering such solutions.
Thus, local companies Novensys, Ness, Omnilogic/SDC and Vector Software, which will aim specially clients from industries such as public sector, telecommunications, financial services, utilities, retail and distribution, will be able to deliver solutions based on applications realized by Siebel company, acquired by Oracle.
Starting with the end of the last year, several local companies have implemented Siebel applications, according to Oracle officials. According to a study made by IDC company, the Romanian market for CRM applications is 3.63 million, representing 6,8% of total applications market.
Solutions for sales management reached a value of 2,53 million dollars and are followed by solutions for call-centers  in worth 0,71 million dollars, 0,34 million dollars applications for marketing and customer services at 0,05 million dollars. Oracle, which has more than 100 applications customers in Romania, has launched local E-Business Suite R12, which provides support for business management. On the other hand, representatives of Oracle – one of the largest employers of IT&C industry on the domestic market, stated that the President of the company, Charles Philips was yesterday in Bucharest, where they are to have a meeting with Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
