| Vector Software bought an Oracle solutions provider |

Vector Software, a Romanian company producing software, acquired Orasys, a company specialized in providing advanced technical services for technology and Oracle applications, announced the officials of the two companies. Representatives of both companies have not given details about the value of the transactions, but specified for ZF that Orasys was fully taken. Vector Software, certified partner of the American business software Oracle-company, is specialized in management solutions in the sectors of banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, utilities, retail, manufacturing. His clients include BNR, Banca Transilvania, BCR, Omniasig, Orange, RomTelecom, Rompetrol, Romgaz, Michelin.
"Orasys interested us because is a company very technical oriented", said Ovidiu Oancea, Sales and Marketing Manager of Vector Software. "Thus, we will expand our services portfolio with solutions for Oracle products, and also advanced technical assistance, customer support, and optimizations”. Vector Software has about 40 employees and ended 2004 with a turnover of 1,3 million euro, volume conducted almost exclusively in providing consulting services to implement Oracle applications. The growth of the last year was about 75%, said Oancea. Thus, last year’s turnover, which hasn’t been consolidated yet, stood at around 2,2 million euro. This year, the company has proposed an increase of 50%.
Orasys, based in Bucharest, has 9 employees and last year achieved a turnover of around 220.000 euro, according to former CEO of the company, Simona Margaritescu, which held 100% of Orasys.
All Orasys’ employees were taken by Vector Software.
Instead, Simona Margaritescu will not be involved in future work. Ionut Margaritescu, her husband and former Senior Advisor to Orasys, will become director of technology at Vector Software.
The first commercial services that include the purchased solutions at the same time with Orasys, will come on the market this month, said Sales and Marketing Director of Vector Software, Ovidiu Oancea. Vector Software has planned to open a working point in Cluj-Napoca. "To the new work points we will provide sales and pre-sales services, such as onsite analysis before concluding contracts”, said Oancea. He did not detail the amount of investment for opening new locations. The company currently has registered only in Bucharest, but working all over the country. Vector Software was founded in 2001 and is owned by a group of individuals and Romanian capital. Orasys was founded in 2003.
