Vector Software and Orange Romania, a strong long-term partnership   In an increasingly competitive market dynamics, implementation of ERP solutions (Enterprise Resource Planning) become a necessity for any company that want to meet current business requirements and support its future growth and diversification. Decision of the implementation of such a solution to Orange Romania was the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the local mobile communications market leader and Romanian company Vector Software, Oracle certified partner. In May 2004, was implemented an ERP solution based on Oracle Applications, an informatics system with a unified information architecture, covering the whole range of activities that may exist in a company, from development, marketing, sales, to maintenance, human resources, management contracts or projects. Increasing number of clients, diversification of services, mandatory compliance with local and international regulations, the strong focus on quality assurance in 2005 resulted in the need to extend ERP system by adding features concerning the flow of supply and allow the approval to pay invoices received from suppliers in securely, with duties established according to internal flows of the Orange business. These extensions, as well as afferent denomination process was recently completed. “Through this project, Orange has an integrated part of the internal flows in the ERP system on Oracle Applications, eliminating the need for external systems that are difficult to maintain and synchronized with the main database and need input in May one system” said Radu Pencea, consulting director at Vector Software. Currently, the system ensures faithful compliance with the principles imposed by Sarbanes-Oxely regulations for companies listed on stock exchanges, allowing Orange to obtain internal and external.
